Water Resource Engineer

 

About the Role: PEC Water is looking for a Water Resources Engineer with a strong background in transportation-related projects and experience in hydraulics and hydrology, drainage design, stormwater management, fish passage, and site civil design. As a key member of our water resources team, you will work on projects across the West Coast. This includes Caltrans, California High-Speed Rail (CAHSR), WSDOT, Sound Transit, City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES), East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), Contra Costa County and other major organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company that aims to become a leader in water resources engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drainage design for highway and roadway projects.

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrology analysis.

  • Develop and deliver high-quality plans.

  • Effective coordination with clients and project team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Desire to learn and passion to win.

  • A team player with start-up mentality.

  • 5+ years of experience in civil and water resources engineering.

  • Prior experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.

  • Ability to move to the Bay Area (CA), Portland (OR), or Seattle (WA) within 6 months.

  • Passionate to become active member of professional organizations.

  • Ability to obtain a California PE within a year.
